1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account or use Query Studio Pro, we receive the following information through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) OAuth authentication:

  • SFMC User Identity: Your SFMC user ID, Member ID (MID), email address, and display name
  • Saved Content: SQL queries, query templates, code snippets, tags, and comments you create within the application
  • Execution Metadata: Query execution history, including SQL text, execution status, duration, and error messages

Information Collected Automatically

  • Session Data: Encrypted session tokens stored temporarily in memory (Redis) with automatic expiration
  • Rate Limiting: Request counters used to prevent abuse, stored temporarily in memory
  • Client-Side Storage: Tab state and AI chat messages stored in your browser’s local storage, scoped to your user session

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Query Results: Data returned from your SFMC queries is fetched and displayed in your browser only. Query results are never stored on our servers. Temporary Data Extensions created during query execution are deleted immediately after retrieval.
  • SFMC Credentials: OAuth tokens exist only within your active session and are never persisted to our database.
  • Subscriber Data: End-user subscriber data from your SFMC environment never leaves your Salesforce environment beyond your browser session.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your identity and manage multi-tenant access
  • Provide core application functionality, including query editing, execution, and history
  • Enforce data isolation between tenants
  • Maintain rate limits and prevent abuse
  • Improve application performance and reliability

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database with the following protections:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and Salesforce uses TLS encryption
  • Encryption at Rest: Database connections require SSL (sslmode=require)
  • Tenant Isolation: All stored data is scoped to your enterprise ID, ensuring strict separation between organizations
  • Session Security: Session tokens are encrypted and expire automatically after a defined period
  • Access Controls: Role-based access controls limit data access based on your SFMC user permissions

4. Data Retention

  • User Identity and Saved Queries: Retained as long as your organization maintains an active subscription. Upon cancellation, data is deleted within 90 days.
  • Query Execution History: Retained for operational and audit purposes during your active subscription.
  • Session Data: Automatically deleted upon session expiration.
  • Client-Side Data: Stored in your browser and can be cleared by you at any time.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

  • Salesforce Platform: Query Studio Pro operates within the Salesforce ecosystem and communicates with your SFMC environment using authorized OAuth tokens
  • Infrastructure Providers: We use industry-standard cloud hosting and database services to operate the application. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
  • Export your saved queries and templates

7. Cookies and Tracking

Query Studio Pro does not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics within the application. The solutionmisfits.com website may use standard cookies for site functionality and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
